President & Executive Minister

The Reverend Stephen York is president of Unitarian Ministries International, and a visionary, committed, progressive Unitarian Christian leader. Ordained in 1974, Stephen earned his Bachelor of Arts in humanities and education from Vermont College of Norwich University, and his Master of Divinity from Starr King School for the Ministry (Unitarian Universalist). Rev. York has served Protestant churches in diverse settings in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Ohio, Michigan, and California. Currently the pastor of the United Methodist Church in Stonington, Maine, Stephen also serves as academic dean of The New England Institute for Teacher Education (www.newenglandinstitute.org). NEI is an academic partner with Endicott College in Massachusetts. Stephen enjoys reading, creative writing, and quality time with his wife, Catherine, family and friends.
Vice President
The Reverend Carolynn Holmes-Search is vice president of Unitarian Ministries International. Currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Rev. Search holds the M.S. in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Neumann Ciollege. She has taught adult religious education classes at the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia and has done extensive reading on the American Transcendentalist Movement, especially regarding Margaret Fuller and Louisa May Alcott. Her ministerial standing is held both with UMI and the Old Templar Holy Catholic Apostolic Church.
Treasurer

The Reverend Eugene Search is treasurer of Unitarian Ministries International. His principal ministries have been in the fields of hospital chaplaincy and counseling. He holds the M.S. in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Neumann College and the M.Div. from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, and has done a chaplain residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem as well as field education with the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia. He is currently a pastoral care volunteer with the Panther Valley Ecumenical Outreach Program. Rev. Search holds ministerial standing both with UMI and with the Old Templar Holy Catholic Apostolic Church.
General Secretary
The Reverend Edward Knight is general secretary of Unitarian Ministries International. A resident of Springfield, Massachusetts, Rev. Knight earned a Bachelor of Science in the social sciences at Westfield State University, and holds an M.A. in philosophy from California State University-Dominguez Hills. He has also studied at Hartford Seminary and Trinity Theological Seminary, where he is currently pursuing a doctorate. Ordained in 1996 by the Presbytery of the Federation of Christian Ministry, he is an ordained minister of UMI, and is credentialed to perform weddings in Massachusetts, as well as spiritual life coaching. He is also a member of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield.
Trustee

The Reverend Shannon Uz Rogers is a Board member of Unitarian Ministries International with an extensive background as a lay leader and lay pastor in General Baptist churches within the state of Tennessee. Ordained through UMI, has been appointed as chaplain of Brandywood Ville Retirement Home, Morningside Retirement Home, and Sterling House Retirement Home in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Founder & President Emerita

The Reverend Maurisa Brown is the founder and president emerita of Unitarian Ministries International. Rev. Brown is a 2009 graduate of the pioneering New Seminary in New York City, an interfaith theological school accredited by the New York Regents and NGO in special consultative status with the United Nations. A member of the World Alliance of Interfaith Clergy, Rev. Brown holds dual ordination as an interfaith minister and chaplain with UMI.
